So who am I who have taken this Climate Speed initiative?
I am Niklas Lång, minister and a consultant, very happy about life and very frustrated about climate change. I am tired of people saying that there is no use to act as an individual because there are bigger changes that have to be made to deal with climate change.
Of course there need to be bigger changes made, but I remember someone who said “Always do for others what you’d have them do for you”. I think that applies to everyone, no matter what beliefs we have. We need to act.
We need to act, and since we are just drops in an ocean we are sometimes left with nothing but symbolic actions. But those are actions too. And I truly believe that symbolic actions can help us create the greater changes that we so desperately need.
